This project was made to showcase the hard work and dedication of Kansas City United Tennis (KCUT) athletes that have gone to play college tennis. This wall is meant to honor those that have accomplished such an achievement and to motivate those that are currently going through their junior tennis process.
Overland Park Racquet Club commissioned this board in honor of Bill Guilfoil, who was regarded as Kansas City’s “original tennis pro”. Bill was a legend in Kansas City and beyond, and known as a tireless tennis and table tennis promoter. This was a live board, where members, friends, and family could share photos, memories, and more to the piece so that his memory could live forever.
After designing an ad for Overland Park Racquet Club to bring new members, and the ad being successful. We chose to celebrate those members by creating some yard signs. The first image was the chosen design, the following images were other concepts.
Overland Park Racquet Club has been incorporating the multiple aspects that make up a great tennis player. They needed a banner that showcased how these 3 different parts come together to build a better player. Not only does a player need their fitness side to be on point, but also their recovery and training side need to be up to par.
Below are other concepts that led to the final design.
